The Bremen attack was strengthened by Swedish player Denni Avdic, acquired from the "Elfsborg" club.
Previously linked with teams such as "Birmingham", "West Ham" and "Blackburn", the 22-year-old football player scored 19 goals this season and is expected to replace Hugo Almeida, who moved to Istanbul's "Besiktas".
"Denni is an excellent midfielder who can hold the ball, play well with his head and has a nose for goals. He also works well in defense," said Werder's general manager Klaus Allofs.
