Belgium national team forward Wesley Sonck has terminated his contract with the Amsterdam team and is moving to one of the Bundesliga underdog clubs.
The main reason why the Dutch team decided to release the player to another club is that the coach prefers other team's forwards - R. Babel and Y. Anastasiou.
Not long ago, the Amsterdam club acquired another forward from Bremen, which increased competition for a place in the starting lineup for W. Sonck even more.
26-year-old Sonck signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with "Gladbach". "Ajax" will receive 4 million euros from the German club for the player - one million less than what they paid to the "Genk" club two years ago.
