After four consecutive defeats, the "West Bromwich Albion" team decided to make changes and said goodbye to coach Tony Pulis.
The decision was made by team owner Guochuan Lai after the weekend's 0:4 loss to "Chelsea", after which "West Brom" found themselves in the 18th position on the league table.
"Such decisions are never easy, but they are always made in the best interest of the club. Results are needed in this sport, and our achievements at the end of last season and the beginning of this season were disappointing. We would like to emphasize our gratitude for everything Tony did for this team and thank him for his hard work when the leadership of the team was changing. We wish the coach all the best in the future," - said team director John Williams in a press release on Monday.
T. Pulis took over the reins of the "West Brom" team in January 2015. Under his leadership, the team finished in the positions 13, 14, and 10 over three seasons. Gary Megson has been appointed as the interim coach of this team, who previously led the club from 2000-2004.
