„West Bromwich Albion“ club today issued a statement rejecting the offer from „Tottenham Hotspur“ for striker Saido Berahino.
The 22-year-old player has been constantly linked with a move elsewhere this summer, but „West Bromwich Albion“ owner Jeremy Peace stated that the club is not interested in selling their star.
„We have no desire to sell Saido and I made that clear to Daniel Levy (Tottenham owner),“ said Peace.
„I know we live in times where no club can say they will never sell a player,“ Peace continued. „However, the sale of Saido is simply not in our team's plans.“
„We plan to move forward and Saido is part of our plans, and we are still looking for new players to strengthen our squad.“
