“West Ham United” is strengthening ahead of the new season - officially announced that they have acquired goalkeeper Alphonse Areola on loan basis from “Paris Saint-Germain”. Last season, A. Areola played in the “Premier League”, representing London's “Fulham” team. There he was one of the best players in the team, playing in 36 matches. However, the “Fulham” team did not manage to stay in the highest division of England then.

This French goalkeeper has been part of the PSG system since as early as 2006, when A. Areola started playing in the club's academy. Since 2013, he has been part of the main team. He has played a couple of seasons for them in both the “Ligue 1” championships and the Champions League, but has also been loaned out 6 times.

Now “West Ham United” will have the opportunity to buy Alphonse Areola's contract after the season. Next season, the Frenchman will compete with the Pole Lukasz Fabianski for the starting goalkeeper position in the main team.

Next season, “West Ham United” will also compete in the international tournament - the Europa League.
