Due to the high interest of fans, "West Ham United" had to expand the London Olympic Stadium to 60,000 seats.
The "Hammers" will move from "Upton Park" after this season and will already play in the stronghold located in Stratford from summer.
The Olympic Stadium originally could accommodate 54,000 fans during football matches, but when more than planned fans wanted to buy season tickets for the 2016-17 season, "West Ham" decided to take action.
"Today's announcement once again confirms that the club is moving in the right direction," said deputy chairman Karren Brady. "We are on the way to what could be our best performance of all time in the Premier League. Our ambitions to finish in the top six and qualify for Europe are truly achievable."
"West Ham" fans are famous worldwide for their incredible support. They once again demonstrated this during this season's matches and joyfully accepted the move to new homes. We are very happy to be able to repay for the great support by introducing additional season tickets and attracting more people to the "Park" (current stadium - ed. note).
Currently, "West Ham" club is ranked fifth in the English championship.
