Goal.com football news portal sources reveal that London's "West Ham" has submitted a record £40 million offer to the club for Roma's "Lazio" star Felipe Anderson.
The new "Hammers" coach Manuel Pellegrini has been watching the winger for some time now, but negotiations had only recently stalled.
Previously, the capital's club had offered £37 million for the Brazilian, but the Italians had demanded £50 million. Now they have managed to find a compromise, which does not include possible additional bonuses.
Therefore, "West Ham" hopes to acquire Anderson for the specified amount.
The 25-year-old player, who had previously been linked with "Manchester United," scored eight goals and provided 10 assists in 32 matches in all competitions last season.
"West Ham" is also soon expected to announce a deal with free agent Jack Wilshere. In addition, the English "Hammers" are still negotiating with Dortmund's "Borussia" for the acquisition of Andrej Yarmolenko and are interested in the possibility of bringing back Dimitri Payet from "Marseille".
This off-season, the team led by Pellegrini has already strengthened with goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and defenders Issa Diop and Ryan Fredericks.
