London's "West Ham" announced on their official website that an agreement has been reached with Winston Reid for a new contract.
The 26-year-old defender has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract and should remain at the club at least until 2021. W. Reid ended speculation linking him with a departure from the "Hammers".
"It took some time to sign a new contract, but eventually negotiations were completed and I am very happy," officially spoke the member of the New Zealand national team on the club's website.
W. Reid joined "West Ham" in 2010, after leaving "Midtjylland" after five years. This season in the Premier League, the defender has already played 25 matches.
There were rumors in the media that "Liverpool", London's "Arsenal" and "Tottenham" were actively interested in the football player.
