On Sunday evening, the 11th round of the English Premier League ended. Unexpected victory at home was achieved by the West Ham United team, which defeated Liverpool with a score of 3:2. The first goal of the match came in the 4th minute when Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson redirected a corner kick into his own goal. The visitors equalized at the end of the first half - in the 41st minute Trent Alexander-Arnold scored a penalty kick. West Ham regained the lead in the 67th minute when Pablo Fornals found the net in a counter-attack. In the 74th minute, Kurt Zouma doubled the advantage for the Hammers. Liverpool's hope was revived in the 83rd minute with a great goal by Divock Origi, but the visitors failed to secure at least a point. After this victory, West Ham surpassed Liverpool and rose to third place in the league table.
