Who are we challenging Italy? Review of the second EURO 2020 semi-final. © AFP

On Tuesday, the first EURO 2020 final team was revealed, which became the Italian national team, defeating Spain in the semi-finals after a penalty shootout series. On Wednesday, the second final team will be determined, with England and Denmark in contention. The portal Eurofootball.com invites you to take a look at the upcoming semi-final match. Different teams' paths to the final are significantly different in both the first and second semi-finals. The English team passed the group stage fairly confidently, winning two games and drawing with the Croatians. However, they only managed to score two goals in the group stage. Nevertheless, the English game improved and in the quarter-finals they scored two goals against the Germans, while the Ukrainians did not manage to score against them as the English side won 4-0. England also achieved a historic defensive feat - in the first five games of the tournament, they did not concede any goals. No team has achieved such a record in the European Championships before. Denmark's path to the semi-finals resembles the plot of a good movie. In EURO 2020, the Danes started with a match against the Finns, during which Christian Eriksen's heart briefly stopped. The match was stopped and unexpectedly extended the same day. In shock, the Danes had to admit the advantage of the European Championship debutants. In the second group stage matches, Denmark dominated against the Belgians in the first half, but then, everything was decided by Kevin De Bruyne, who shone on the field, and the Danes needed a victory against the Russians in the last round. In the third group stage match with zero points, the Danes overcame the Russians and managed to take second place, which led them to face a favorable opponent - Wales in the quarter-finals. The Welsh posed a challenge for about 10 minutes, but then the Scandinavians took control of the game and secured a 4-0 victory. In the quarter-finals, the Danes faced a slightly more serious challenge, but still not the giants of European football, the Czechs. The Danes quickly gained a two-goal advantage and although the Czechs narrowed the gap, the Scandinavians did not let the victory slip from their hands. Team leaders can be found in the ranks of both teams, who are still realistically competing for the most goal-scoring player award of the tournament. The English have two such players - Raheem Sterling and the shining star of the knockout stage, Harry Kane, who have both scored three goals. The Danes have a talented player in Kasper Dolberg, who has also found the back of the net three times. However, these are not the only players who should be highlighted. As usual in this championship, the role of full-backs who perform not only defensive but also attacking functions has become especially important. In the English ranks, Luke Shaw must be highlighted, who in just the quarter-finals made two crucial assists and is arguably the main man for set pieces. Denmark also has a standout star in the full-back position, Joakim Maehle, who has already scored two goals in the tournament and his crucial assist in the quarter-finals is one of the most beautiful EURO 2020 moments. Match favorites: Although the Danes look very solid in the EURO 2020 knockouts, bookmakers are convinced that on July 11th football will finally have the chance to come home, as the final should be played by the England national team, whose chances of reaching the next stage are valued at 75 percent. Eurofootball.com Prediction: England's game still remains somewhat of a mystery. The team is on a winning streak, but excluding the match against Ukraine, they were far from dominating. Something similar can be said about the Danes, who although have looked powerful recently, have not faced opponents of the same level as the English in the knockouts. It is possible to speculate that the Danes will be the first team to score against England, but that should not be enough as the home team, the English, will reach the final. Eurofootball.com Prediction: England 3-1 Denmark.
