Will "Barcelona" end their losing streak? ("La Liga" round review)

On this evening in Spain will take place crucial 34th round matches, and all three teams leading the championship will step into important battles today.

Having suffered three consecutive losses in the "La Liga" championship, "Barcelona" still holds the first place, but the Catalans can no longer afford to make more mistakes - Madrid's "Atletico" takes the second place with the same points and occupies a lower place only due to losses in head-to-head matches. Madrid's "Real", in third place, is just a few points behind the leading clubs, so they have also not said goodbye to the chances of winning the Spanish championship gold.

The "Barcelona" team awaits away matches against "Deportivo". The La Coruna team does not shine in their home arena - they earned only 20 points in 16 matches this season, which is the third worst result in the league. Nevertheless, it is not easy to play against "Deportivo" and the leaders, as the same "Barcelona" and Madrid's "Atletico" have already seen this season after sharing points after matches with this team.

It will not be easy for Madrid teams either - they face teams fighting for fourth place and qualification for the Champions League. "Atletico" will play away matches against "Bilbao Athletic", who are currently in fifth place in Spain. "Athletic" has not yet taken points from the top three teams this season, and these matches will be the last opportunity to punish the team fighting for the gold.

Madrid's "Real" is the only one of the three leading teams to play at home, but they undoubtedly face the strongest opponent. "Villarreal" not only holds the fourth place in the championship and has reached the semi-finals of the Europa League, but also performs best against the top three clubs among all other Spanish teams. Out of five matches against the leaders, the "submarine" lost only once (0-3 against "Barcelona") and left opponents without points twice. In the first head-to-head matches against "Villarreal", "Real" also capitulated, so the Madrid team, which has won seven matches in a row in the "La Liga" championship, will seek revenge and the opportunity to continue fighting for the Spanish championship crown.

With five rounds remaining in the Spanish championship, only a few points separate the top three clubs, and every match can determine who will win the championship title. The first of the five most important "La Liga" matches will be awaited by the championship leaders today.
