"Arsene Wenger claims that Arsenal will not sell Robin van Persie, even if they acquire another striker, Lukas Podolski.
According to the BBC, the English team has already reached an agreement to acquire 26-year-old Podolski for 13 million euros. Despite this, there are rumors that the current attacking leader Van Persie will leave the team, as he has not agreed to extend his contract which ends in 2013.
However, Wenger insisted: "Our plan is to keep Robin even if we acquire someone. Manchester City's interest? Comments from other clubs are part of football. But what matters is how you want to win the next game."
The specialist from France refused to comment on reports about Podolski: "When we sign a contract with someone, we will definitely announce it. But it hasn't been done yet. However, he is a good footballer, I don't deny that."
