In Vilnius, as uncertainty continues regarding the construction of the National Stadium, petitions are being collected in the Parliament for an important decision.

According to the portal "Delfi," the initiators of the idea will try to convince the country's Government that the capital must finance the construction of the arena solely from its municipal funds.

As stated by Member of Parliament Remigijus Žemaitaitis, the saved 60 million euros could be allocated for children's education or funding for national defense.

Currently, the results of the European Commission are awaited to determine whether state support for the project would be legal. The decision is expected to be announced in April.
