On Friday evening in Germany, the first matches of the 3rd round of the "Bundesliga" championship were played.
"Wolfsburg" faced off against Gezenkirchen's "Schalke" players in front of their home crowd. The "Wolves" demonstrated character at their home arena and defeated the visitors with a score of 3-0.
Even though Kevin De Bruyne did not play for "Wolfsburg" (joining "Man City" - ed. note), there were other scorers within the hosts' ranks. Dutchman Bas Dost scored first in the 17th minute, putting the "Wolves" in the lead.
In the second half, two goals were scored. In the 59th minute, Ricardo Rodriguez scored accurately from the penalty spot, while Tim Klose had the final say just two minutes later.
After the victory, "Wolfsburg" temporarily moves up to first place with 7 points. Meanwhile, this was the first defeat of the season for the "Schalke" team.
