On Friday evening, the teams of Bayern and Hoffenheim from Munich kicked off the Bundesliga championship, and today the first round is gaining momentum.
The teams of Wolfsburg and Schalke managed to offer a fierce battle. However, the latter played with ten men from the 65th minute and had to admit the advantage of the Wolfsburg team with a score of 1:2.
Wolfsburg took the lead in the 33rd minute, with a goal from John Brooks.
Ultimately, after playing for more than an hour, Matija Nastasičius received a red card.
Just when it seemed that the match would end calmly, in the 85th minute, Nabil Bentaleb converted a penalty kick and equalized the score.
However, in extra time, Daniel Ginczek expanded Wolfsburg's lead and did not give Schalke time to respond.
Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen had a painful start to the season. Bayer was no match for Borussia Monchengladbach and lost 0:2.

The first draw of the Bundesliga season was recorded between Werder Bremen and Hannover, who played to a 1:1 draw.
