"Wolfsburg" won the battle for J. Draxler.

German newspaper "Bild" announces that "Wolfsburg" club is close to securing "Schalke" midfielder Julian Draxler from "Juventus". "Wolfsburg" club is soon to sell Kevin De Bruyne and will spend a large part of that money on his direct replacement, which seems to be J. Draxler. The 21-year-old German national team player was heavily linked with a move to "Juventus" for most of the summer, but negotiations dragged on, and in the final days of the transfer window, he suddenly enriched "Wolfsburg". This information is also confirmed by Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio. According to him, J. Draxler will cost "Wolfsburg" €36 million (£26.1 million) and will sign a 5-year contract, earning €5 million per year. Today, "Wolfsburg" also acquired Bayern Munich defender Dante. However, despite these two transfers, the majority of the money that they will receive from Manchester City for K. De Bruyne will remain on the German vice-champions' account.
