„Wolves“ midfielder Matheus Nunes is one of the main targets for „Manchester City.“
However, so far the „Citizens“ are struggling to reach an agreement with the „Wolves,“ but the Portuguese player is trying to speed up the transfer himself by refusing to train with the team.
Nevertheless, „Wolves“ strategist Gary O'Neil opened up after Tuesday's English League Cup match against „Blackpool“ saying that he hopes M. Nunes will stay with the team.
„Nunes is currently not training with the team and it is his choice. After „Man City“ made an offer, he decided that this was the best course of action. We have certain rules in the club and we will deal with this situation internally.
As far as I know, „City“ is not planning to improve the offer at the moment, and Nunes remains our player. We have a long-term contract with Nunes and I believe that once the transfer window closes, he will continue to be with us“, – said G. O'Neil.
