In 2025, the first FIFA Women's Futsal World Cup will be held in the Philippines, and on Thursday the draw for the qualifiers was made.
After the draw, it became clear that the Lithuanian national team entered Group 1, where their opponents will be the national teams of Italy, Serbia, and Croatia. Serbia will be the host of the mini-tournament in this group, so that is where our national team will have to compete.
According to the tournament system, in the first qualifying stage, the 23 teams participating in the qualifiers are divided into six groups, with the winners of the groups advancing directly to the elite qualifying stage, where, based on the rankings accumulated, the national teams of Spain and Portugal automatically enter.
The first stage of qualifying matches will take place on a mini-tournament basis, with tournaments scheduled to take place from October 15-20 of this year.
A total of 16 national teams will play in the World Cup, with four spots allocated to the European zone qualifiers.

Group 1: Italy, Croatia, Serbia, Lithuania.
Group 2: Hungary, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Norway.
Group 3: Ukraine, Czech Republic, Northern Ireland, France.
Group 4: Finland, Slovenia, Moldova, England.
Group 5: Sweden, Belgium, Slovakia, Latvia.
Group 6: Poland, Netherlands, Kazakhstan.
