Wonderful D. Sturridge's goal determined dramatic draw against Chelsea

On Saturday evening in the English Premier League, an intriguing 7th round match took place. At the "Stamford Bridge" stadium in London, "Chelsea" met with "Liverpool" footballers for the second time this week. Maurizio Sarri's team let the victory slip from their hands right at the end of the match - a fantastic goal by Daniel Sturridge leveled the score and extended the "Reds" unbeaten streak.

The match started strongly for the "Chelsea" footballers - "Liverpool" players had to work hard in defense, but no goals were scored in the first 10 minutes. In the 25th minute, the first goal of the match was scored - Mateo Kovacic made a sharp pass forward, Eden Hazard sprinted and skillfully touched the ball and struck with his left foot past Alisson.

Throughout the rest of the first half, it was not easy for the "Liverpool" team to recover, although there were opportunities for both teams to score.

In the second half, Jurgen Klopp's players were much more aggressive and posed a serious threat to Kepa's goal. Both the goalkeeper and the "Chelsea" defenders had to work hard.

Xherdan Shaqiri had a very good chance to equalize, after replacing Mohamed Salah. The Swiss received a good pass from the corner and remained alone in front of the goal, but his shot did not find the target.

Later, Roberto Firmino also had a very dangerous shot near the hosts' goal, but once again "Chelsea" managed to save - David Luiz cleared the ball away from his goal line.

Throughout the remaining time, "Liverpool" continued to press actively, but more spaces opened up in their defense. Several times "Chelsea" launched dangerous attacks, but they failed to score the second goal.

In the 89th minute, "Chelsea" fans were forced to hold their heads in their hands - after coming on as a substitute, Daniel Sturridge fired a rocket from about 25 meters and with this shot equalized the dramatic score.

After the draw, "Liverpool's" winning streak was broken, but they still remain at the top of the league table along with "Man City". "Chelsea" has to settle for third place.
