During the third day of the third match of the World Cup, Denmark's victory was difficult and exhausting.
Denmark defeated Peru with a minimal score of 1-0, earning their first three points in Group C.
After the first round in Group C, France and Denmark are leading with three points each. Australia and Peru are at the bottom of the table.
Peru started the match much better. However, despite creating several dangerous opportunities, the South American team lost their momentum to their opponents.
In the second half of the first half, Denmark controlled the ball, but did not pose a significant threat to their opponents. However, everything could have changed during injury time, but Christian Cueva's penalty kick was too strong, resulting in a draw at halftime.
After the break, Denmark seized their opportunity, and in the 59th minute Yussuf Poulsen put the Danes ahead 1-0.
Just a few minutes later, Edison Flores had a chance to equalize, but his shot was saved by Kasper Schmeichel.
Peru continued to push for a goal, and in the 79th minute Paolo Guerrero's shot almost leveled the score, but missed narrowly.
Another excellent chance came in the 84th minute for Peru, but Jefferson Farfan's shot was well saved by K. Schmeichel.
Christian Eriksen also had a chance to seal the game for Denmark, but the Peruvian goalkeeper saved his shot.
