In the matches of the World Cup Group F held on Wednesday, the Belgians had a hard time, but still managed to beat the Canadian footballers with a score of 1:0.
In the first half, the Canadians demonstrated positive football, and in the 11th minute they had a golden opportunity to score while trying to convert a penalty kick. However, Alphonso Davies, standing at the mark, failed to defeat the opposing goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and the score remained 0:0.
Nevertheless, despite the positive signs on the field, the Canadians had to pull the ball out of their own net in the 44th minute. After a great pass from Toby Alderweireld, Michy Batshuayi scored from the depth of the field.
In the second half, the Canadians tried to create an equalizer, while the Belgians tried to "hunt" their opponents on counterattacks. Both teams lacked sharpness and the match ended with a score of 1:0.
