"Manchester United" captain Wayne Rooney claims that next season the "Red Devils" will not be content with finishing in the top four and will try to compete for the Premier League title.
This season, Louis van Gaal's team finished in fourth place in the English Premier League and will most likely test their strength in the UEFA Champions League. Rooney has not yet won any titles with "Man Utd," but he believes that the situation will change.
"We started the season very poorly. In the first 10 or 11 matches, we only earned 13 points. No one could have imagined that after such a start we would finish in fourth place.
"I think we are close to the title. We play well, control the ball, and dominate with it, but this season we lacked luck," Rooney said.
"As a team member, I believe that with the upcoming summer transfers, we will have the chance to compete for the Premier League title next season," the Englishman added.
