Xabi Alonso praised his young teammate Asier Illarramendi and stated that he is the future of the Spanish national team and the "Real" Madrid club.
The 24-year-old footballer joined the "white" ranks last summer. "Real" had to pay 32 million euros for him, with the main reason for the purchase being X. Alonso's departure.
"Illarra is the future. It was his first year full of changes, but very important. I have no doubt about this player's talent," said the Spanish national team defender to Spanish radio.
Last season, A. Illarramendi appeared 49 times on the field wearing the "Real" jersey and scored three goals.
However, Carlo Ancelotti is not very satisfied with the Spaniard's performance in midfield, so there are rumors in the press that one of these players will arrive in Madrid this summer: Toni Kroos, Marco Verratti, or Arturo Vidal.
