Former footballer Xabi Alonso has extended his contract with the "Real Sociedad B" team and will continue to work as head coach. The new contract will be valid until 2022. The former Liverpool player had been linked with the Monchengladbach Borussia club, which is currently looking for a new manager. "The manager is pleased to stay at the club. He has many goals and ambitions," the club statement said. X. Alonso ended his professional football career in 2017.
