X. Alonso: 'We are not going to give up easily'

Leverkusen's "Bayer" had a very unsuccessful start to their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match on Wednesday.

The German champions lost 0:3 away to fellow country giants Bayern Munich, significantly reducing their chances of progressing to the next round before the return leg.

However, "Bayer" coach Xabi Alonso stated after the match that the fight is definitely not over.

"We will need to conduct a thorough analysis, as we were heavily beaten today. Everything turned against us, but we ourselves are to blame for that.

Still, not everything is finished yet. Anything can happen in the return leg. We must believe in that and take advantage of any opportunity we get. We are not ready to give up easily," X. Alonso said after the painful defeat.
