Speaking on the official website of Bayern, Xabi Alonso revealed that he has no regrets about moving to Munich after five years in the Spanish capital.
He is reassured that he made the right decision when he accepted last summer to leave the Real team and move to the Bayern club. The 33-year-old player joined the German champions in August 2014 and helped the team once again defend the Bundesliga title.
Alonso is convinced that last year was the right time for career changes and new challenges. However, he denied rumors that among the possible options was the end of his career.
"I think it was the right decision. I really like everything I get at Bayern club. It's a great experience for me and I hope that this season we will achieve even more than last year," - the Spaniard officially told the Bayern website about his feelings in Germany.
"I feel as good as before. Every minute on the field brings me joy. And only when that changes, the time will come to end my career."
Goal.com reported that Alonso now aims to replicate the legendary Clarence Seedorf's achievement by winning the Champions League with three different teams.
"It would be the third team with which I have won this title and I know that only Seedorf has managed to do it," - admitted the Spaniard.
"Meeting Real Madrid would be a very special and exciting experience. After all, I wore their jersey for five years and still have warm relationships with the team's management and players, as well as with representatives of Liverpool," - Alonso concluded the conversation about the possibility of facing his former team.
