X.Alonso won't play in Champions League final: UEFA rules unfair © EuroFootball.com

Madrid's "Real" team midfielder Xabi Alonso believes that UEFA rules are not fair.

X. Alonso received a yellow card in Tuesday's UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg match against "Bayern", meaning he will miss the final on May 24 in Lisbon.

Such rules have drawn criticism from UEFA since the 2012 final between "Bayern" and "Chelsea", when key players from 6 of these teams could not play in the most important matches.

"It's a shame that I won't be able to play, but I believe my team mates will win the final and I will eventually forget about it," said the royal club's midfielder.

"I hope the team plays well and wins. The club's fans really wanted us to reach the final," said the Spaniard.
