Former "Barcelona" defender Xavi was not convinced by the victory of Madrid's "Real" club in the last "El Clasico" and stated that Zinedine Zidane's players played like a small team.
In the last "El Clasico," the teams met at the Barcelona "Camp Nou" stadium. The Catalans were in the lead after Gerardo Pique's goal, but their closest rivals from Madrid managed to turn the result in their favor and celebrated a victory with a score of 1-2.
However, Xavi was not convinced by the victory of "Real": "Madrid's 'Real' team played like a small team at the 'Camp Nou' stadium."
The experienced goalkeeper also criticized Diego Simeone's style at Madrid's "Atletico" club: "A team as big as 'Barcelona' could not play football in the style of 'Atletico.' Teams like 'Barca' and 'Real' always have to play their own football. You simply cannot play the way 'Atletico' does.
"Simeone tells his players to neutralize the opponents' strong sides. The 'Barca' fans wouldn't understand that. They always expect us to create 15 or 20 dangerous opportunities during the match," added the legend of the Catalan club.
