Xavi ends his career with the Spanish national team

"Barcelona" club veteran Xavier Hernandez, or simply Xavi, ends his career in the Spanish national team. He announced this at a press conference on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old midfielder helped Spain win the European Championships in 2008 and 2012 as well as the World Cup in 2010.

Xavi played more than 130 matches for the Spanish national team, scoring 13 goals and making 24 assists.

In the national team, the midfielder made his debut in 2000 when the coach was Jose Antonio Camacho.

It was announced that this summer the player would leave "Barcelona" club, but the new team coach Luis Enrique convinced the Catalan to stay in the team.
