Former "Barcelona" star Xavi is convinced that the best football player on the planet is Lionel Messi, and all other players cannot compare to the Argentinean.
Speaking about who could become the best in the world when Messi finishes his career, Xavi admitted that in his opinion, no other player will be able to match his former teammate.
"In my opinion, Messi will not have a successor. There will never be such a player again. There will be good players, but none will reach Messi's level. To be at the top for so many years, to win so many individual and team trophies - it will be impossible to repeat such an achievement. I think in the future, competition among the best players will be more even. When Messi finishes his career, there will be Neymar, Hazard, and five or even ten players of a similar level, but none of them will have such undeniable talent as Messi," Xavi said.
Xavi also stated that everyone who understands football knows that Cristiano Ronaldo does not compare to the Argentinean.
"Although everyone is trying to present this story as Cristiano's battle with Messi, those who understand football know that no other player compares to him," he said.
