“Barcelona” triumph in yesterday's “El Clasico” match also resulted in a notable record in the biography of the Catalan coach Xavi.
The 43-year-old specialist became the first coach since 2011 to beat the Madrid “Real” team three times in one year. Back then, the legendary Josep Guardiola dominated the club with “Barca” before the royal club.
After the match at the “Camp Nou” stadium, Xavi was surprised by the comments of the visiting team's coach Carlo Ancelotti, who said that “Barca” was not worthy of the win.
“His words surprised me. It's a scientific fact: either you are inferior or you are not.
Furthermore, I think that was unfair. We played better and were a better team, we dominated the opponents and played as we wanted,” Xavi said.
