Former long-time Barcelona midfield general Xavi has no doubt that Philippe Coutinho would be a great addition for the Catalans.
Liverpool midfielder has been in excellent form in the Premier League lately, and the media has been linking him with a move to Spain for a long time.
According to Xavi, the Brazilian is one of the best players in his position.
"Coutinho is a player that I have always considered exceptional, but under Klopp he has reached an even higher level. When he is in this form, there are no better midfielders in Europe," the 36-year-old veteran told Goal.com.
"He has always shown his ability, but now he plays well consistently, which is good news for Liverpool if they really want to compete for the title."
"He plays in a team led by one of the smartest coaches in Europe. Klopp has a lot of experience in developing world-class players, so it is a good club for him."
In Xavi's opinion, Coutinho would fit well with Barcelona's style of play.
"There are not many players who could strengthen Barcelona, but if you ask me if he is one of them, then yes, in this form, in my opinion, he is (one of them - ed.)", Xavi added. "His technique is very good. He would fit well with Barcelona's philosophy."
