“Barcelona” on Tuesday at home defeated “Napoli” with a score of 3:1 and advanced to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.
After the victory, “Barca” coach Xavi praised the performance of his players and stated that his team receives a lot of undeserved criticism.
“We played a great match. My players left everything on the field. We dominated the majority of the game and I am very happy about it.
“I warned everyone that this team would take a step forward after I announced that I would step down from my position after the season. Now we are just enjoying the game.
“People did not believe in me and said that after the news of my departure I would simply lose control and respect in the dressing room.”
“We receive a lot of undeserved criticism. We have shown that we are capable of competing in Europe,” Xavi said.
