"Manchester City" coach Manuel Pellegrini confirmed that the English club will have to face Real Madrid in the first UEFA Champions League semi-final match without midfielder Yaya Toure.
The African player injured his thigh in a 4-0 victory against Stoke City in the Premier League and was unable to participate in today's training session.
"Citizens" manager also added that the 32-year-old player may miss the return leg of the tie.
"I think Yaya won't be available. He hasn't recovered from the muscle injury," Pellegrini said.
"During the week, we will see how he is progressing in rehabilitation. I don't think he will be able to play on Sunday (against Southampton)."
"Regarding the return leg, we will see, but everything depends on this week."
Toure's absence from the lineup means that in midfield we will likely see the effective duo of Fernando and Fernandinho against Paris Saint-Germain.
