Y. Yefremovas remains with FA 'Šiauliai' club

FA "Šiauliai” reached an agreement – in the upcoming season, the yellow and black jersey will continue to be worn by defender from Ukraine, Yevgen Yefremov.

In 2023, the Ukrainian who arrived from Marijampolė "Sūduva” became one of the essential pillars of the Šiauliai defense. The defender, who stands out with excellent field vision and endurance in defense, played 32 matches in his first year with the Sun City team, contributing one goal and two assists.

This year, unfortunately, the season did not go well for the defender – during the summer, he suffered a torn cruciate ligament while playing, and for the remainder of the 2024 season, he had to support the team from the stands. Indeed, the footballer underwent surgery in August, and until now, the Ukrainian has been undergoing rehabilitation in the Sun City.

Having signed a new contract, the defender has played a total of 59 matches over the past two seasons, scoring 2 goals and providing 6 assists to his teammates.

The footballer also significantly contributed to the team’s achievements, including winning bronze medals in the "TOPsport A league,” qualifying for the UEFA Conference League qualification stage, and securing the right to compete in the LFF Cup final in 2023.
