Paris Saint-Germain's addition, defender Yohan Cabaye, claims that he received an offer from Arsenal in London this summer, but it was rejected by the Newcastle team.
Yesterday, the French champions officially announced that they had lured the 28-year-old footballer from the "Magpies" team for 24 million euros. It was believed that the Gunners had also tried to acquire Y.Cabaye this winter.
"Last summer, I did not consider the possibility of leaving elsewhere, but this winter I had the opportunity to change teams and I did not refuse it. I want to thank Newcastle club for respecting my decision," said the defender.
"It is true that I received an offer from Arsenal this summer, but Newcastle did not accept it. It was hard to come to terms with this decision, but now I do not regret it," concluded the Frenchman.
