Man Utd did not buy any new players in the January transfer window. The reason for this, as stated, is the club's youth academy. Let's go back to the beginning of the situation. After defender Luke Shaw broke his leg, it was thought that a replacement should be sought for him, which is logical. However, even when other suitable players in that position got injured, and the winter transfer window only opened in January - it posed some really big problems. Then, 18-year-old Borthwick-Jackson was thrown into the defensive line, making his debut in November. The youngster performed well and received a lot of praise. Apparently, all of this instilled confidence and hope that a solution might be closer than expected, right here among the young members of the Man Utd 'family' who have not yet finished school. The end of the year was tough, with injuries to players in other positions. Losses. The press and fans put pressure and 'dismissed' LVG. The transfer window also opened, but the problems were not solved with new purchases. Instead, the youth were given a chance to show what they can do. From the beginning of the season, a total of 8 academy graduates debuted in the team !!! 6 of them - this year, in 2016. And some just shone, while others quietly did their job. How things will progress further - time will tell, but for now, it's at least comforting that things have not gotten worse. Facebook page "Red Devil"
