Z. Daličius: Cristiano Ronaldo is an egoist that I would never want to see in my team

The craftsman of Croatia's national team victories Zlatko Dalic is not a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. The 51-year-old coach revealed that the Portuguese is a selfish player, whom he would never want to see in his team. Z. Dalic was surprised by the reaction of C. Ronaldo and his entourage after Luka Modric's triumph at the UEFA Best Player of the Year awards. The player himself refused to attend the ceremony, and his agent laughed at the Croatian's victory. "Ronaldo is a selfish player whom I would never want in my team," Z. Dalic told the Croatian press. "He is the type of player who cares only about his results. Even if the team suffers a defeat, the most important thing for him is to score a goal," added the strategist who led Croatia to the final of the World Cup. At the end of the interview, Z. Dalic added that he was happy for his pupil and that UEFA began to appreciate not only "those players who score goals".
