"Manchester United" victory in the UEFA Europa League was marred by injuries to two starting players.
In yesterday's second leg quarter-final match of the Europa League, "Man Utd" defeated Brussels' "Anderlecht" with a score of 2-1 after extra time. During the match, Jose Mourinho was forced to make substitutions due to injuries to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo.
The first injury occurred in the 23rd minute when defender M. Rojo possibly strained his knee ligaments while trying to reach the ball. At the same time, Z. Ibrahimovic unsuccessfully fell to the ground while fighting for the ball in the last minute of regular time, possibly suffering a cruciate ligament injury.
However, after the match, "Man Utd" defender Luke Shaw reassured the "Red Devils" fans by saying that Z. Ibrahimovic is feeling well.
J. Mourinho was not willing to provide such information: "I don't think these were simple injuries, but we need to wait for further tests. I can't say anything more because I am a coach, not a doctor."
