Zinedine Zidane was one of the most physically fit players of his time, but he believes that nowadays football has become even more physical.
"Today's football has changed significantly in terms of physicality," said the Frenchman to the magazine "Telefoot."
"In my time, you could be less physical and it wouldn't be a problem. I don't know if I would be able to cope physically these days."
It is worth mentioning that currently the biggest Premier League clubs' players play 55-60 matches per season. In the past, players would play up to 50 matches per season.
In the 2024-25 season, there will be additional Champions League matches, making players' preparation for matches even more crucial.
