Madridthe Real strategist Zinedine Zidane made quite a few changes to the starting lineup in Spain yesterday, which at least gave a lot of benefit in attack.
Yesterday, Real beat Real Betis 5-3 in an eight-goal thriller in La Liga. The Frenchman included Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio in the starting lineup. The performance of the latter on the field was a justified decision by Zidane - Lucas scored two assists, and Asensio scored two goals.
"Lucas and Asensio always deserve more," Zidane said at a press conference. "They have to do the toughest job on the field, and when they do it with great dedication, it's a pleasure for me to see."
"They play really well - their presence on the flanks opens up a lot of space for us on the field, and they also do a huge job in defense," the Frenchman continued.
Zidane also mentioned Cristiano Ronaldo's form, who is returning to his usual rhythm: "Ronaldo feels very good. He scored his goal and that makes me feel happy, but even without a goal, Cristiano did a great job today."
