Z. Zidane: "I think we deserved the victory"

The Madrid team "Real" continues to lead the league, but they lost two points in the Madrid derby that took place on Saturday. At the "Wanda Metropolitano" stadium, "Real" and "Atletico" teams ended in a goalless draw. Both teams looked stronger defensively than offensively, but Jan Oblak had to put in a little more effort, as he saved a dangerous header from Karim Benzema in the 75th minute. After the match, Zinedine Zidane admitted that his team lacked creativity in the midfield. "We had a strong performance - we didn't allow the opponents to create practically any dangerous opportunities. We lacked creativity, but we are still happy with what we did," said the French coach. When asked if he agreed with his team's captain Sergio Ramos that "Real" deserved more than a point in these matches, Zidane said: "Yes, I agree with him. We deserved much more, but even after a draw, I congratulated my players. We lacked something in attack, but we have to learn from it and be sharper next time." Eden Hazard received a fair amount of criticism after the match for not yet opening his goal account, and even the Belgian's form raises doubts within the "white" ranks. "He's not far from fully integrating into our game. We have to help him. I think he did a good job in the midfield, although we didn't create enough chances. Our goal is for everyone on the field to do their job. Of course, we would most like him to score goals, but we have no doubt that it will happen soon," added Zidane.
