"Z. Zidane: Losing in the final won't be a tragedy if players show desire"

Since January, Zinedine Zidane has been leading Madrid's "Real" club and has brought them to the final of the UEFA Champions League. This Saturday, they are preparing to win their 11th trophy in the Old Continent tournament.

This Saturday at the "San Siro" stadium, the rematch of the 2014 Champions League final will take place - "Real" will face "Atletico". Z. Zidane stated at a press conference that the team is geared up for the match, but emphasized that it wouldn't be a tragedy if the "whites" lose in the final.

"Losing in the Champions League final wouldn't be a tragedy... The real tragedy would be if the team didn't show a desire to win," said the French football legend.

"I think we are well prepared for Saturday's match. Cristiano didn't participate in the main training session this weekend because we didn't want to risk him. James and Arbeloa are also recovering, but Varane's injury is more serious than we expected, so he won't be in the final for sure.

We are facing very tough matches. Simeone is doing a great job at the "Atletico" club. He is one of the best coaches in the world, understanding this game perfectly and knowing what he is doing. There are no favorites in this final - the chances of both teams are equal," added Z. Zidane.

Let's remind that the 2014 Champions League final in Lisbon ended in a 4-1 victory for "Real".
