Z. Zidane on Rodrygo: "The most important thing is not to create unnecessary pressure"

Zinedine Zidane was delighted with Rodrygo's performance in the match against "Galatasaray" in Istanbul, but emphasized that the media should not exaggerate and put too much pressure on the 18-year-old footballer.

On Wednesday evening, the Brazilian football talent made history in the Champions League, becoming the second youngest player in the tournament's history to score a hat-trick.

"I was not surprised by Rodrygo, as he always had the quality to deliver such a performance," Z. Zidane said at a press conference.

"This is just the beginning, we need to remain calm with him. Now the most important thing is not to create unnecessary pressure on him," the coach continued.

The Frenchman added that from the very first days when Rodrygo arrived in Madrid, it was noticeable that he was more mature than other 18-year-old players.

"He is a very intelligent person, capable of learning important things very quickly. Technically, he is already prepared - he knows when and where to attack, when to help his teammates, and how to stay calm with the ball.

He is a very smart and tactically savvy player who, most importantly, wants to continue improving," Z. Zidane praised the young talent.

Rodrygo started the season playing for the Real Madrid reserve team. He made his debut for the main team on September 25th and has since scored 5 goals in seven matches.
