James Rodriguez could have ended up at Napoli at the beginning of the summer, but circumstances unfolded in such a way that the Colombian once again donned the jersey of Real Madrid.
After returning from a two-year loan spell, J. Rodriguez was not given a place in the Real team, but the Colombian stayed and now aims to become a regular starter.
J. Rodriguez suffered a minor injury after the first match with Real Valladolid, but returned on Saturday and played the full 90 minutes against Levante. He contributed to the victory with one assist.
"He once again showed that he is a great player," Zinedine Zidane rejoiced after the match. "James has the quality to play at the highest level."
"Physically, it was a tough game for him, but he gave his all and left the field exhausted. I am very happy for him," added the coach.
J. Rodriguez is expected to start in the match against PSG on Wednesday - Luka Modric, Isco, and Fede Valverde are nursing injuries, so Real is currently experiencing a crisis in midfield.
