Zinedine Zidane is not upset about Gareth Bale's behavior in the Welsh national team and ambiguous statements.
All week in the media there has been talk about G. Bale's moments of triumph from the Welsh national team camp. The footballer, after a successful performance in the European Championship qualifiers, possibly hinted at leaving the "Real" club, but Z. Zidane's calm behavior does not bother him, as he believes that as a player, there is still a lot he can give to the team.
"I think there has been too much uproar after Bale's gesture. We need to concentrate more on football, talk about me as a coach, and about him - as a player," Z. Zidane said at a press conference.
"Bale was in the national team, returned to practice, and now we are waiting for him. I am only interested in his sporting performances, not what happens beyond the field.
I have always said that Bale has given a lot to this club. Fans who come to the stadium must understand that he is one of us. We must support him and be on his side.
I think he can still be a very important player. If he has no problems, like injuries he has faced this season, he will always be important to our team. I will trust him and continue to do so," added the Frenchman.
On Thursday, Bale returned to training with the team and will play against Real Sociedad on Saturday in San Sebastiano.
