Zinedine Zidane, speaking to the press, revealed that in his opinion, Toni Kroos joining the Real team in the summer of 2014 was exactly what the team needed at that time.
According to the French football legend, during that period Kroos became a key player of the team and was the missing link that the team lacked until then.
"We acquired Toni because we wanted him to mark a new era for the team. We simply adore him. He is the player that we were missing until then. Kroos fits perfectly with the Madrid club. He played for Bayern for a long time, but we hope that he will play even longer with us."
"Real's style changed from the moment he joined us. We knew he was used to the German football style, and playing in Spain is a bit different. Here, both the beauty of the game and demanding it are important, especially in Madrid."
"However, he adapted perfectly and now looking at the picture on the field, you can no longer say that Kroos came from Germany," - Zidane spoke to Sport Bild.
Kroos played in 10 out of 11 matches for Real in La Liga this season.
