Zinedine Zidane was satisfied with his team's performance in the match against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Madrid "Real" team, which dominated most of the match, was leading 2-0 at one point, but childish mistakes in the last 10 minutes allowed PSG to come back into the game and level the score.
Regardless of the disappointing end to the match, Z. Zidane was pleased with the players' efforts.
"I liked everything I saw on the field," said the coach at the press conference. "It was a beautiful game in which we showed great football and, most importantly, commitment."
"Regardless of the result, the match was really good for us. The most important thing is that we are moving forward. Of course, I feel sorry for the players because they deserved to win.
"We understand that we have to play for the entire 90 minutes, but for 80 minutes we showed what we wanted," Z. Zidane continued.
Asked about the unexpected decision to include Isco in the starting lineup, the coach added: "Isco did a phenomenal job. We wanted to have a player who could play 'between the lines', and we succeeded, as PSG suffered in the first half because of that.
"It was really enjoyable to watch his game along with Hazard and Benzema."
