Madrid's "Real" team conceded four goals in the first three rounds of the Spanish league, but Zinedine Zidane doesn't think the problem is in defense.
On Sunday, the "Whites" failed to take advantage of another slip-up by "Barcelona" and lost points for the second time in a row. Gareth Bale scored a brace, but they had to settle for a draw against "Villarreal."
Z. Zidane played with Luka Jovic and Karim Benzema from the beginning of these matches. The Frenchman chose this tactic on purpose, hoping to turn dangerous passes into goals.
"I am very happy for Bale, who did well in situations where he had to score," praised Zidane, who was supposed to leave the team last summer.
"We wanted to make a lot of passes into the penalty area, that's why we played with Gareth and Vasquez on the wings. However, we lacked goals, even though we had enough chances.
It's sad that we couldn't score more goals, but we really can't complain about the overall picture of the match. Except for the first 15 minutes, we played really well," added the strategist.
