Before the upcoming "El Clasico" duel, Madrid's "Real" head coach Zinedine Zidane stated that winning the "La Liga" championship is harder than the Champions League.
This season, "Real" in Spain is trailing the "Barcelona" club by as many as 15 points and has long ceased to compete for the league title, which the Catalans secured in the previous round. However, the Madrid club is once again successfully progressing in the Champions League, where they will aim for a third consecutive title by facing "Liverpool" in the final.
Having triumphed twice in the Champions League as a coach and won one "La Liga" title, Z. Zidane emphasized that winning the Spanish champions' title is harder than triumphing in the Champions League.
"It is harder to win the La Liga. I have always emphasized this: winning the Spanish championship is harder," - the Real coach spoke about comparing the La Liga and Champions League tournaments.
The coach also confirmed that Real will not honor the Barcelona club for their triumph in the Spanish championship, and the reason for this, according to the Frenchman, is that the Catalans did not respect the victory of the Madrid team in the FIFA Club World Cup.
